The Berry Test

After taking a Thanksgiving cruise to avoid the family politics in this 2016 election year something was once again noticed. The lack of berries on the cruise. Did it matter that we paid $5000? Did it matter that this trip we had a suite? Did it matter we even had access to the dated lounge on the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas?

The answer to all is no! There were no berries to be found and for a foodie like me, the berry test is the tell all sign of the cruise and the quality of the food. No berries means the food will be, well, fruitless. Sorry Royal but the voyage served some less than ideal food. Even the Thanksgiving ham was just too bland.

Infant Friendly Cruise

Royal Caribbean

The minimum Age to Sail: The minimum age to sail is six months old on many itineraries, and 12 months old on all transatlantic, transpacific, and Hawaii cruises, in addition to select South American and other cruises and cruise tours.

Royal Caribbean and Fisher Price have team up to add to the value of youth cruises. They offer activities for children of all ages and is easily one of the most kid-friendly lines.

They do however charge more than other lines for the right to pack the kids in the rooms
